Therapeutic benefits:
The protective action of the mucous membranes allowed by brown flax seed also makes it an ally of choice against ulcers in horses. Added to a mash, flax seeds enhance its action by improving digestion. Flaxseed also improves skin health and the shine of your horse's coat. Thanks to its high omega-3 content, this seed also helps strengthen your horse's immune system.

Usage tips:
Flax seeds release a gelatinous substance during cooking. This is mucilage, which is a mild, natural laxative. By lining the mucous membrane of the horse's stomach and intestines, it also plays a protective role.
- Cook a handful of seeds for 5 to 10 minutes to release the mucilage
- Add the handful of brown flax seeds to a 3L mash or directly into the ration.
Brown flax seeds can also be used as a poultice to help a foot abscess ripen.
Conservation tips:
Store in a cool, dry place away from light.
